i used to be a big AMD fan, but lately some Athlon powered pcs have made me sick.
yesterday, my friend asked me to take a look at his pc that wasn't working, the fault was, someone had connected the monitor cable to the motherboard port rather than the graphics card port, i also removed the battery and put it back, just to reset it. sure, when the power was turned on, the pc started working properly, i managed to get into BIOS, and set the time etc.
but when i exited the BIOS menu, i expected the PC to restart as usual.
but when it shut down, it never seemed to restart, and whats more, on the next attempt, the power LED refused to turn on, but the SMPS and CPU fan were spinning! WOW! what's going on there? i had a similar problem with another AMD athlon PC, but never anything like this with the intels.
i did reset everything, other than removing the processor(very difficult to remove AMD heatsink), and didn't wait for more than 10 mins. everything else has been removed and tested more than once
