does anyone know exactly how to be able to watch tv on my pc without having windows media cetre, do i just need a card and if so what kind, im also looking to buy a new monitor and have been looking at widescreen TFT/TV monitors, can i use one of these to watch tv and do they work with a freeview box any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

you can by tv's with pc inputs or monitors with tv inputs THIS monitor is a highly reccomended one.

There are also TV Cards that require a PCI slot and ones that require USB 2.0.

To be honnest i have both and there appears to be no difference in quality.
