Hi,
A friend has just got a hp touch screen PC with a built in web cam, but is unable to get it to work, he has msn and we went thro the set up all was ok but no webcam picture " unable to connect web cam as it is not set as default or it being used by another program", we put a normal web cam in a usb and it all works OK

any help would be great,

Hi GPRs! Welcom to TCF

When people over the internet have these kinds of problems. I always like to fix them remotely. Connect to the persons computer(when the problem allows) and fix it that way. It's then much easier for me to know what is going on and diagnose the problem.

Since your friend has MSN I could connect remotely that way.

So if you could ask your friend if it's ok with him that I connect to his computer and try to find out what's up, then I'll be happy to do so.

I'll just need his msn email address.
