Fastest and best card out for that price.

All the mags swear by it.

Note* This is not a standard 7600GS, it is only available from this company and has been modified by the manufacturer to be overclocked and faster. Dont buy a different 7600GS as it will not be the same card even if the model number is the same.

Thank you have just taken a look, not sure about all the reviews tho

"Appears to be a very good card, However, doesnt appear to be compatible with Windows XP (Media Centre Edition)"

"Received this card before 2 weeks after my 9800pro went out. Its a very good card. Plays Call of Duty 2 very smooth. Some conflict problems with directX9 were gone after updating the motherboard's chipset drivers".

Do you not rate any of the others that I have been recommended then?

You asked for a recommendation and that's what I have done, if I agreed with your post I would have said.

Most of the people that write those reviews are complete idiots.

"Appears to be a very good card, However, doesn't appear to be compatible with Windows XP (Media Centre Edition)"

I mean hardly concrete evidence is it, this guy obviously has some other problem.

There are always a handful of people who get into problems and they are always the ones who moan and write a review. It is impossible for a manufacturer to make something and then test it on 10 billion computers worldwide to make sure it works with all the different configurations of PC.

If the card was a cheap budget card i would agree with you but BFG make good kit.

I am sorry if I sounded offensive, but I have no idea what I need to buy and am always getting different answers. I am a complete novice and do not know who the "idiots" are. The only reason I asked for opinions in my first post is because these have been recommended to by a work colleague who admits to not being totally PC literate. If they are not very good that is a fair point.

I'm not offended, and hope i have not offended you.

The cards that have been recommended to you are all good cards, any 7600GS is a good card, but they all come with different specs even though the model numbers are the same.

The one I have recommended is top of the pops for your budget, trust me I've worked in IT 10 years. Its the best card out for 100 sheets.

Thank you very much indeed for your help. As I am sure you will appreciate, this is all very new to me, and I am just a bit scared of buying something that I have no clue about and am just trying to get several views. I am a single mother who cannot afford to throw money away.

I understand, you will obviously get different opinions from people.

The card I have sugested is in both PC Gamer and PC Zone magazine last month as the best buy for £100, you can normally trust these magazines far more then any forum owner (me lol) or friend of a friend.

Cheers, good luck.

Dave.
