Larger monitor + same gaming experience = more financial outlay. Glossy screens tend to be harder to view properly in brightly lit rooms, due to the coating but the coating gives a clearer image, generally speaking. Saying that, the majority of screens are of the glossy variety nowadays beit on a laptop or a desktop tft. If it was such a problem you'd be hearing a lot more people complaining, as in millions. I genuinely don't think you'll have a problem. I've used this monitor to game (granted, only for a few hours) but it was long enough I feel. I can only give you my personal opinion, and opinions vary as you'll know from the reviews you've read. Choice is yours fella.

| I think you should get a nice, non-glossy 22"inch monitor, with a low response time as well. Check this one out - http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...82&modelmenu=1 http://creativesupplies.co.uk/index....roducts_id=276 http://www.pcauthority.com.au/review.aspx?CIaRID=4834 http://www.goodgearguide.com.au/inde...;pid;3198;pt;1 Beauty of a monitor, as I have one myself. With the 2ms response time it really is a charm to use. It also sports a very clean and nice designed exterior, without looking too imposing.

| If I were you I'd build it myself for sure. Why? Well, (1). I have experience in building gaming centered computers (2). I can pick out exactly what I want. (3). I save a'lot of money. (4). I love building computers. Let's say you do decide you want to build it yourself. Here's what do. Pick out the parts - Post links to them here on TCF - We'll tell you if they'll all work together - If so then you buy the parts - Build it - Boot it - And if it works your good to go. If it doesn't work then just order another assortment of parts and try them out. J/K lol If it doen'st work. We'll tell you a few things to try. If we can't figure it out then you can always bring it to your local computer shop and have them fix it for ya. Don't know if www.newegg.com ships to the UK but if they do I'd recommend you order from them. They always have outstanding prices. One more thing. Before you decide to build it yourself. Go to youtube and find some videos that show you just how to build your own comp. So I hope this has convinced you to build it yourself. Tell us what you think. |

| Hi Elijah You've made some very good points, I guess when it comes to computers I'm not the most patient person and would rather get something that I can plug in and start using, rather then buy, wait for the parts to arrive, assemble (which to be fair would take an hour max) and then start playing (that's if there are no problems). I also had certain hardware conflicts when buying from a certain computer shop in Australia that custom built ![]() Cheers Jack p.s what did you think of the computer Alex pointed out? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...id=967&subcat= |

| Hi Jack a dual card setup will only give you a benefit in games that are coded for dual cards. These games, comparatively speaking, are few and far between. So on the majority of games you'd only be using one card, this card is also in no way shape or form a gamers gpu. Plus for the price of 2 8600GT's you could buy a 8800GT (give or take) which has more performance than two of these cards. And as its a single card, you'd always have the extra performance to hand. Mesh though, aren't bad. Just spec'd a build there for a colleague of mine and he's over the moon with it. Their customer service aren't all that though.

| Absolutely no harm in shopping around fella, infact, I insist on it! Especially when you're spending the kind of money you are.

| Okey doke, I'm helping (hopefully) by speccing up builds on some other sites I know to be good. Just tried Komplett and a non oc'd, similar build to the Overclockers one was around £150 more. So we'll ditch that for now. I'll keep looking fella.
