hi i have taken the plunge and built a pc. i am using it so it must have been ok .....erm well its not got any sound can any of youhelp me my hardware is as follows :-
motherboard foxconn 945g7md-8ekrs2h
processor pentium 4 3.0ghz dual core
ram 4gb ddr
graphics card 256/1GB ATI 2400PRO SONIC PCI Express16x Graphics Card
when i installed the mainboard drivers i had sound
but after i installed the graphics card software i had no sound
so i disabled the on board sound card and installed a pci sound card still no soundif you can help me i would be eternally grateful

I think he ment pentium D, Maybe.
Install your sound card drivers, make sure all your speaker's are plugged into your computer and they are turned on, Go to

Control panel --> Sounds, Speech and audio devices --> Sounds and audio devices --> At the bottom under the "speaker settings" click advanced. Make sure that is on the correct speaker format you use and check the sound ( line volume might be off, turn off stereo mix etc )

Also take out your GPU just in-case its the problem, if you have sound after taking out your GPU make sure you fit it correctly.
