Its a good keyboard and I have no regrets about purchasing it, it has no special function keys which is my pet hate. I enjoy a good standard quality built keyboard, not one with 50 million function keys.

The only thing I will say is that if you purchase it from yoyo tech (the place I puchased mine from) then use the google checkout and not through the store checkout as it had problems. Delivery speed was good, It was the first time I had dealt with them.

Why bother using a manual though?

I havn't bothered with a mouse mat since mice had trackballs.

Because if you have a glass desk, then a optical mouse won't work

I agree.

And thanks for the info about Yoyo tech, I may well use them when I buy it, because the price on Amazon seemed rather steep.

Fair one.

Presumes he indeed does have a glass desk though Mines wooden, so I have no problems.

However I'm thinking about trying out gaming on PC's (I've been rather X360 orientated in the past years and PS2 before that..)

So if and when I do that I guess I'll buy a mat and decent mouse and keyboard.

Very much like the G19 and Mamba.. but that would be fairly pricey!! Over £300.. I could get triple SLI for that

My old laser mouse (Logitech mx1000 laser) works on fine on glass because I tested it, although I didn't test it under game conditions, it didn't seem to judder at all when I used it

Thats interesting to know. The optical one I have at the moment don't do squit all on glass. (I have like a transulcent red glass desk.)

But the desk is very big so no shortage of space for a mousemat....

But it would be quite nice not to have to bother with a mousemat, but I guess the one I am getting tomorrow is so huge, that actually I will never come to the edge of it...

razer lycosa is good according to a mate of mine.
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards/razer-lycosa-keyboard

personally I cant justify laying out that much that money for a keyboard, then again, i have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard set (only 'cos it was free!) NEVER NEVER get a bluetooth keyboard, stupid thing.

EDIT: the razer glows too
