Hi,
i am having a few problems with my computer, i have the asus a7v8x motherboard and just recently ive had a problem with the keyboard, i purchased a new one and realised the problem was deeper, i have found it to be my motherboard but the conection isnt loose at all and the keyboard does work in dos mode a few times after i reset the motherboard via the jumper switch. can any of you please please help me as im not sure what else i can do |

Hi Jackie,
from the sound of your problem, your motherboard has a fault in its software, if you say that when you reset it the keyboard works for a while it obviously isnt a problem with the hardware. i would try a bios flash, if you download the flashing program from the Asus website, http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us from that link click the tab saying bios and it will give you the files for download, the instructions to install are also on the left. if you have any problems please feel free to post back to me but im pretty sure this should solve your problem with the keyboard as it does sound like a bios fault. |

I'd have to agree with the above, you could also try re-installing your chipset drivers off the CD that came with your motherboard.
