Default keyboard and mouse not working

my sons computer crashed whilst connected to limewire and starting up a game at the same time, tried to do a full reboot but keyboard seemed not to respond so tried another keyboard from a fully working pc but no response, put keyboard back to original pc and now keyboard and mouse are not working on the fully working pc. have reinstalled drivers several times but no joy. when you go into control panel and go to keyboard it says it has no hardware, when you go to mouse on control panel it says THIS DEVICE CANNOT START ( CODE 10 ) tried using another mouse but just the same, at present using a cordless mouse in USB port it works but still no keyboard can anyone help?

Limewire is a rogue program used for the illegal downloading of music, films and software.

You could have all sorts of nasty stuff on the PC as a result, namely viruses, spyware and/or malware.

I'd highly recommend removing it and doing a spyware and virus scan ASAP.

So you are saying both keyboard and mouse now do not work on both PCs?

Seems like a weird coincidence, are you sure they are plugged in the correct places?
