Sorry, i didnt think specifics would be important! Its actually an Advent? Model 7113, Celeron M430, 1024 ram, Vista Premium, etc, etc. Problem is, i have no idea whats caused this, so i cant really fix it myself? You got any ideas? Ive tryed all software stuff, system restore, FN, new account etc But im not really sure about the hardware...

Ah, well its very new... say 2 days? :) At this rate its going back tomorow, but if i can id like to fix it myself? (Or someone tells me how to fix it, i dont mind!) Ive asked a fair few people now, who i consider to be quite computer fluent... and there answer is always take it back! Honestly, im amazed that a solution to something like this doesnt exist! It does make me smile, but i do feel like an idiot...

Quite honestly if it was a bios beep I could tell you in seconds but I have never heard of this one before and I've googled around, that's why I asked if it was a ThinkPad. While it's still under guarentee I would deffo take it back.

It may just be that for wsome reason the I key has become a hotkey for something else, that just happens to create an error sound when you're viewing the web ;) Check your hotkeys, check what your keyboards I button does, other than typing "i" in a word document :P
