Default A lil' help...

Howdy

This site was suggested to me by a friend who visits here when he has problems of his own. Anyways, i am in the process of buying a new PC, mainly for gaming but nothing too extreme, just aslong as i can play Football Manager 08 and Battlefield 2142 i'll be happy. Now, i'm not really technically...erm...whats the word...aware? Basically i know a little of this, a little of that and not alot of the other. So, what i'd like is some advice on this system that i have bodged together, i haven't ordered it yet because there will be room for improvement (when is there not?), so any advice would we welcome.

The System So Far

Case - X-Blade Black
Processor - INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6850 1333FSB SKT775
MoBo - ASUS SKT-775 P5N32-E SLI PLUS S/L 1333FSB
RAM - 4GB DDR2 PC-6400 800 MHZ (4 x 1 GB 800)
Gphx - ASUS 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX 2xDVI PCI-E SLI
PSU - DAX 1000W Modular PSU
HD - 500 GB SATA HDD UDMA 300 7200 16MB
DVD/RW - SAMSUNG DVD /-RW 20x6x20x8 D/LAYER BLACK LIGHTSCRIBE (SATA)
Sound Card - CREATIVE SB AUDIGY SE 7.1
Networking - FAST 10/100 ETHERNET LAN (BROADBAND READY)
10 X USB 2.0 PORTS
Heatsink - THERMALTAKE BLUE ORB II (CL-P0257)

I can only go a smidging above the current base price.

So suggestions?

Cheers :D

I'd scale back the ram to 2GB & get two GTs instead of GTXs.

IMO could not agree more. Since you do not play that much 4GB are more than enough. As regards to the VGA, 2*GTs are very good.
