Default Liquid Cooling Setup, or not?

At the moment I am currently running an xigmatek s183, (or something like that) as my main CPU cooler. It works great, but after getting some christmas money I was looking into a water cooling setup. I first thought of going to water cooling in an effort to produce a more quiter and efficient cooling setup. I also was thinking of getting a VGA water block for my ati 4870 because it is a heat hog. My main question is, would it be more worth it to by each part separarely, blocks, rads, hoses, resevoirs, etc. OR to buy a kit like the thermaltake big water system? This then leads to the basic question, do I even need it? I currently run a e8400 at 4 Ghz at 26 C on idle and mid to high 30's on a good system load. I have a antec 1200 so I'm alright with the space issue =P

You're complaining about 26/35C?!?! Are you nuts? The maximum temp on these is 65C+! Spend your money elsewhere!

Heh, I'm not complaining. It was just an idea that I have had for awhile now and I was looking for some feedback

I have found that the general consensus here among the folks that are the most technologically adept is that water cooling is a waste of money. So in short:

NOT.

I agree, spend the money on something that will benefit you or your computer more. More RAM hehe! plus the Antec 1200 with water cooling will probably have icicles hanging off bits of your PC, there really is no need.

Maybe a 3rd party cooler on your gfx card isn't such a bad idea but you probably get good performance on games anyway!

I would only use water cooling if I was going to take my computer to a LAN party and display it. For home use as a gaming or general use PC there's no need for water. =)

if you want silent pc..go watercooling..watercooling wont give much better temps than air cooled unless you mount the radiator outside in the winter like me

I have a friend with the same HSF and clock speed, he gets 35C as well. It's a good one.
