I couldnt really see a webcam section or other devices, so im posting this here, i hope someone can help because i need to use this camera for stuff.
My problem is that, after installing all the softwares, and drivers for my quickcam pro 4000, i find that when the program asks me to plug the webcam into the usb socket now, i plug it in, and the green light on the webcam lights up, but the program does not detect i plugged it in, and neither does windows. I was wondering how i could solve this problem please anyone? |

Sorry for a generic Google answer but I did find a detailed guide on how to install a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000
Also I have learned that on some things, like cameras, all you need is the software and driver for it to operate. Simply uninstall everything there is to do with the camera. Restart the computer. Plug in the USB for the web cam and let the plug and play take over. You will come to a point where the computer will ask for the CD. Web cams can be a pain I know. If this does not help let me know and I will look around some more. |

OK, back to the normal install method. After being prompted to plug in the cam does a video screen come up?
If so try right clicking on it and see if the cam is set to the default device. It may be set to the MS WMD capture which you will need to set to the Logitech. |

What sort of video screen?
In the installation, this comes up, and tells me to plug the webcam in, so i do that, then nothing happens.. |
