Default Losing Video & Audio- Could Something Be Wrong with House Current?

My computer loses video & audio when running in my house. When it does so, I can connect it to a different monitor in another room and still have no picture.
When I take it to the repair shop, it works fine & will not misbehave in any way. After bringing it home it will work ok for a couple of days before doing the same thing again.
I have done this repeatedly. Repair shop says they can't fix it if it wont malfunction there.
Can anybody suggest what might be wrong?

'losing' - Can you describe better. eg;

Does it lose display while on and you are using it...

Does it power on but not display anything on screen...

It loses display while on & I am using it. If I turn it off & reboot, I will still have no display.
When I take it to the shop, it boots up normally and has a display. Then when I bring it home, it works for a while, but eventually exhibits the same problem.

When the display goes, everything else continues running. The fan is still running, and mouse and keyboard are still lit up.
