Default Major computer problem...

Hi Guys,
Having major probs with my computer. Not been working for a while now. Computer turns on (fans sound etc), but monitor displays 'no signal'.
So far have tried:
- Disconnecting everything non-essential inside
- New power supply
- New RAM
- Tried several different screens + cables
Problem also is that garphics are on the motherboard. Does this make trying a new graphics card (if thats what u guys suggest) difficult?
Thanks,
Dave

Nah. If the graphics chip went bad you could plunk a cheap old PCI card into there to get it working again.

However, usually if that's the problem the whole motherboard is dead.

My suggestion is to go buy a crappy old PCI graphics card off eBay or something, plunk it in and see if it works. If it has, you've saved yourself from having to buy another motherboard - if not, you're out of luck on that front.

Sometimes there will be an AGP slot on the mobo too.

What is the make/model of the mobo ?
