Microphone Problems

Ok, I just got a brand new Dell XPS top of the line $3,200 computer, and I was using my microphone to talk to people over the internet and it worked fine. About a week ago, my mic randomly stopped working. I could still hear the other people talking to me, but I could't talk to them. I have 3 mics all work on other computer, but not this one. I don't know what the problem is and am wondering if anyone could help.

Have you got more than one input jack if so try th other one. Also check in your setting that you have it set to the input you are using.

I don't have two jacks and I'm beginning to think that it might be my sound card.
