Hello!
We have a pc and a newlaptop will be arriving shortly (it is 'wireless ready'). I have been told I need to get a card or ethernet adapter for our 6 yr old pc so it can connect toa new router/modem as well. This might seen a silly question but I just want to check I understand it right. The item you recommended says Zyxel 54Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ Modem/Router + USB Adapter so does that mean I don't need to buy an adapter ?? Again I hope you don't mind me asking, and I thank you for your time. Banter |

At least one machine will need to connect to the router using an Ethernet cable in order to set it up, once setup all machines can run off wireless if you want. The product you link to is an adaptor that changes a USB port to and Ethernet port which would then connect to the router via cable, this is not needed as a wireless adaptor will come with the router for your old PC (providing it has USB capabilities) and you can use the new laptop with a temporary cable to setup the router and then run both on wireless after the router setup.
