First things first, have you checked they are plugged it properly? It sounds simple, I know, but sometimes things like that are the problem.

Default Mouse and keyboard problem

A few questions now:

Did they just stop working one time?
What happened before they stopped working?
Did you just boot up one time and they didn't work?
Have you tried the keyboard and mouse on a different computer (or visa versa)?

That's all I can think of to ask at the moment, might think of more after I've got those answer though
