| Hi, I have a Advent 7082 Laptop Running Windows XP Home Edition and the Synaptics Touchpad Has Stopped Working. I have tried reinstalling the driver this just make the buttons work and not the pad. After the driver is reinstalled the touchpad appears in mouse properties but when you apply pressure to the pad it disappears. ![]() Any Suggestions Please. |

| Do you have any USB devices connected? Sometimes they can interfere with or turn off the touchpad

| Agh, I had the same thing a while back, can't remember what the fix was, I thought it was drivers but if you've already done that, maybe not.. I'll ask my mum when she gets back, she'll probably remember (her laptop) |
