Default My Computer will not boot any ideas

Hi I wanted to know if anyone can confirm my suspisions on this. Here is a detailed description of the issue.

I boot my computer the screen is blank the fan spins the power light comes on it sits like this for a few mins and then shuts down.

This is a Dell Inspiron 5160 P4 HT
3.0GHz processor

As I said earlier I think i know what the problem is but I wanted some confirmation before I use the dam thing as a frisbee.

I thought it might be a fried mobo even though I just bought a new one. Sorry for the delay replying I got a message it was under maintenance.
