I thought u'd pick one that would blow my budget out of the water.

I only have £300. CPU = £120 Case = £60 PSU = £90 Thats basicly the whole budget even without the motherboard which is needed for the 45nm and CPU cooler. I was thinking £30-40 if that. But ive had a 450w non manufatured power supply for over 2 years now and nothing has ever gone wrong with it. My System: Liam's rig..?

it is worth the extra 50 pound, rather £50 now than £450 after the asda one explodes

Do warrantys even cover failed psus that take everything with it?
Man you do not want to skip out on the PSU, it is the MOST important part of your system. And with a high end system as yours it deserves a high end PSU. See if your parents will give you extra money for it. |

Marginally, but you'd probably only notice the difference if you were benchmarking. Onboard sound is not going to hinder your gaming performance in anyway.
The only noticeable difference would be sound quality, and onboard is good enough for 99% of people anyway! |

I still don't think the 8200 is a good choice. You're focusing too much on clock speed when there are way more variables to it than that. The 8400 is a better CPU.
The CoolerMaster 600W is fine. Get another motherboard. the P31 Express is budget.

wont the fast fsb of the cpu be a waste if you're only getting 667 ram?
and will the processor safely take 4.0+ ghz, if it does, will an E6750 because if all the extra fsb speed does go to waste, get the E6750. that also has 2.66ghz (but its 65nm). does my post actually make sense?

Serisouly, do not skimp on a PSU. Fair enough it might be more expensive than you think, but you've never built a high-spec rig before have you? So you're not going to worry about the spec of a psu, because any old asda / netto branded PSU would have done you fine in the past.
I chose you this one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/127861 simply because it will easily power your system and doesn't break the bank, you're moaning that you don't want to spend too much yet you've gone and blasted £70~ on some fancy ass case that TBH you don't need. My PSU was £126, more than my cpu, more than my mobo, more than my ram, more than all 4 hard drives put together, but dam it's ****ing genius. If anything happens to your PSU it WILL permanently damage your other components, of which the company the "warranty" is with, will just laugh at you, as they won't be slightly interested. The CPU, you say you will overclock the E8200 to over 4ghz, and I know these new 45nm chips are the bees knees at overclocking but from 2.66 to over 4ghz is not a small feat, especially if you haven't done it before, and therefore you will need to carefully choose both your RAM and your motherboard, of which I quote you saying you only want to spend £30-£40 on it, which isn't going to happen. You need to rething what you actually want and get to grips with the fact a decent-branded PSU is far better than some fancy case.

Depends, really. I'm not sure whether the multiplier is 9 or 9.5 on the Yorkdales.
