im new here. anyways my question is can i take my harddrive from my old pc and install it in a new pc?
specs of old and new pc
my old pc broke: amd motherboard athlon 2000+processor 2.0ghz
new pc: intel motherboard pentium D processor 3.0 ghz

XP OS

HELP PLZ.......

Don't see why not, if it's an ide drive just connect it as the master on the primary ide channel on the new motherboard.

Yes no reason you can't but you'll still have to do a reinstall as your new build will be completely different to your old and windows won't accept the changes.(you can occasionally get away with doing a windows repair but in my experience the hassle after isn't worth it)
