| im new here. anyways my question is can i take my harddrive from my old pc and install it in a new pc? specs of old and new pc my old pc broke: amd motherboard athlon 2000+processor 2.0ghz new pc: intel motherboard pentium D processor 3.0 ghz XP OS HELP PLZ....... |

| Don't see why not, if it's an ide drive just connect it as the master on the primary ide channel on the new motherboard.

| Yes no reason you can't but you'll still have to do a reinstall as your new build will be completely different to your old and windows won't accept the changes.(you can occasionally get away with doing a windows repair but in my experience the hassle after isn't worth it) |
