Default My Hp Dx 2390 Does Not Boot....it Hangs Too!!

My desktop Hp Dx2390 1.8 cd2 1 gb RAM 160 gb hdd, windows xp; it does not boot...if it does(after some time=a day) it hangs with a black screen on my monitor after approx 5 mins of using. And mostly it does not boot the green light on desktop switches on nothing on the mouse, keyboard monitor..etc I opened it and saw everything is working all 3 fans(power unit, MB,bigger one outside MB), hdd, etc. Someone adviced remove the RAM and put in another slot it works temporarily...removing the bios battery also does not work I think i'll have to take it to the computer guy(its under warranrty i suppose) BUT nyways what must be wrong with my PC...RAM? HDD?Processor?\ Can anyone help me? can i fix it on my own? Thnx iseksa_1989

Overheating, PSU, or RAM.

Could be something overheating, could be a dodgy part. Might well be a dodgy PSU, get it checked out.

If it's under warranty, don't touch anything. Just send it back in, get the repair done free. Be the best thing to do, you might get a new machine with your hard drive in it if you're lucky. Since warranty repairs are free including postage, it's often best to just do it that way.
