Ok heres the breakdown i had to put a new power supply into my mothers computer a week ago i get it in it works i installed three monthes of software updates and PC is g2g so i set it in the livingroom. I go to set it up in that same room and turn it on CPU fan runs case fan runs and power suppy fan runs i have no video and no POST beeps. i unplug it open it up all looks good reseat everything plug in turn on nothing. Also i find that the DVD and Hard drive are not coming on i take out IDE cable and both power up. no video. I clear the CMOS. and nothing. try a videocard i know is good nothing. I hear no post if IDE cables inserted no drives. Im stumpped. Someone throw me a line i would hate to scrap the machine its not that old. MOBO is Nforce3-a, Vidcard is Radeon 9250, the hard drive and DVD-rw are using the IDE channels and the rest can be figgured out. Any help would be a god send.

i was going to say clear the CMOS might be a stupid suggestion but what about the fuse in the power cord? check the cpu fan wire is plugged in..most motherboards wont power up if this is not connected too.failing that i would maybe check psu again maybe in a different pc? i wouldn't think the motherboard is died just yet
