ok so i came home the other day and my computer was in energy save mode, but when i hit the power button it wouldnt turn on, so i unplugged the power but when i plugged it back in it still wouldnt turn on, so i took it all apart, thinking it was the power supply turns out it wasnt the power supply it was the on swtich so i swtiched cases and everything ran fine fans run my harddrive boots and everything, but my screen will not post even though the computer ist posting it will only stay on the color test screen for my moniter, i tried swtiching from me egva8600 to onboard and still nothing what do you think it is?

Check your GPU and see if it's plugged in right on the mobo. If it isn't, then you will need to get another hard drive with whatever OS you're running installed on it and run a virus scan. I've heard of a type of virus called a "Kiss Goodbye" or a "Kiss Bye Bye". Apparently that kind of virus shut down your computer for good.

If the PC wont even post is not going to be a hard drive, yet. No virus can kill hardware afaik.

You've tried a different GPU, I would swap the PSU. They commonly work in part, and this sounds like a text book dodgy PSU.
