I am now looking to change my 5year old HP Pavillion something for a decent gaming pc.
My budget is around £500.
I have found a pre built over clocked intel rig that is below my budget but as I have no idea about computer specs could someone please tell me is this is any good.

Im looking to play games like Call of duty and World of warcraft.
Also need it to multi task well so I download music etc whilst playing although online gaming is the most important.

Specs are:
ProcessorIntel Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.66GHz @ 3.00GHzProcessor CoolerIntel Approved CPU CoolerCaseCoolermaster Elite 335 Case - BlackGraphics CardATI Radeon HD 4850 1024MB GDDR3Hard DriveSeagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB CacheMemoryCorsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel MotherboardGigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L Intel G41 MotherboardOptical DriveLG GH22NS30 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter Power SupplyCorsair HX 450W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power SupplySound CardHigh Definition 7.1 OnBoard Sound Card

Apparently the system is easy to upgrade should I wish to change bits at a later date but could this do for a start?

Thanks for your time guys and girls.

Depending upon resolution of your monitor, it will play WoW like nobodies business and will play CoD4 pretty well too.

Bit hard to read the specs properly so I'll have a bash at operating them:

Processor - Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.66GHz @ 3.00GHz
Cooler - Intel Approved CPU Cooler
Case - Coolermaster Elite 335 Case - Black
Graphics Card - ATI Radeon HD 4850 1024MB GDDR3
HDD - Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Memory - Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L Intel G41 Motherboard
Optical Drive - LG GH22NS30 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter
Power Supply - Corsair HX 450W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply
Sound Card - High Definition 7.1 OnBoard Sound Card

Apart from a sound card if you're an audiophile, you wont need to upgrade much. The processor can be upgraded if you like but you're already sat at your RAM limit, hard drive should be enough and the optical drive is fine unless you want a blu-ray player.

Depends on what you're paying for it. The spec is definitely pretty good, only thing I'd change if you were buying it new is a 512MB 4850 and one of the lower-end AMD CPUs, so it's very well laid out.

Yea sorry about the spec's, I copied and pasted them.

Glad to hear its ok. Im only paying £375 for it I think so if it'll paly my games and allow me to do the things I need it to I am well happy.
Im not too worried about the sound card to be honest. As long as I can actually hear something its fine. I'll be playing mostly night times anyway when the wifes asleep.

I have yet to get a moniter so thats not a problem. I was thinking a 22" moniter would be ok with a 10,000:1 ratio. Do you think that would be ok?
Also I was thinking I might change the cooler.

Thanks for the replys. Youve put my mind at rest, as long as I can get the right moniter now.

If it has onboard sound and all you want is to generally hear some noise, save the cash and use it elsewhere.

22" monitors are good, 10,000:1 is a good ratio but make sure the brightness is up, 850 is good, 350 is bad. No good having 22" of things that you can't see lol
