HI Rundown.

It's not a bad deal for the money but I shouldn't consider gaming on it.

The graphics card is about the worst model you can get, its not even a true dedicated card as it steals system ram as well.

The cpu is a Pentium D 805, a lousy chip for gaming to be fair but nicely overclockable if thats your thing.

Bottom line: If you want the system for gaming then definately go elsewhere.

Where is that PC from RUNDOWN?

A company or are you building it?

Unfortunately Rundown Crysis is a DX10 game you'll need to have Vista as your o.s

This then means you'll need a minimum of 2gb ram for a gaming machine as Vista is resource hungry, much more so than XP.

You'll also need a DX10 capable card, and by all accounts a very good one judging from what i've read about Crysis' requirements.

On top of that your cpu is not going to help much and may indeed cause some bottlenecking although i suspect you'll get away with it at the resolution of your monitor.

To be frank, I think you need to re-spec the whole build if you want to play Crysis at any decent framerate or detail settings.

For the card though i think you need to be aiming at something of the 320mb 8800GTS variety to be frank.

Sorry to put a downer on it but i'm compelled to give you my honest answer as I'd hate to say it's all good and you be very disappointed come playing the game for the first time.

so if i updated the ram which i was planning on doing coz i get it cheap anyways.
and updated the processor and graphics card it would be a pretty tidy machine or is that not possbile coz i was mostly interested in getting everything else with it pretty cheap aswell coz i can upgrade to 22" screen aswell for bout extra £40

£450 isn't bad from a company considering there is a TFT in there.

I'm guessing it's Dell?

But you'd still be better going for real Core 2 Duo and a decent GFX card.

What price are they doing Core 2 Duo machines for?

When you want a tft monitor and a core 2 duo processor the cost will go up. the price you have mentioned may not be enough. But its worth taking this configuration.

I think its a great deal according to the price and i must say that you should go ahead with this one!!! Anything you feel like its quite ordinary , you can upgrade it by spending a bit money on it but, i think its once in a lifetime offer.......
