Default Need very fast reply, overheating!!!

I just completed reset my computer ( recovery CD ) And im just downloaded my programs, steam, xfire, speedfan. I looked at speed fan and my GPU is at 58c. I Put the fans to the max and its not going below 55c and im really scared. What the hell? ...

Default Need very fast reply, overheating!!!

Just wanted to say my other components are well under the average temparute, just the graphics card is on fire!! Seriously if anyone has an idea on why this is happening please post! This thing is going to set my house on fire, its on 60c now. What the hell its rising and im not even playing a game and the fans are all on full ahhhh it was fine before the total reboot

62c and rising, i brought a house hold fan and plugged it into it, also a tub of ice ( make sure it didnt leak ) and put it on it. Its not helping!!!

I wasn't being pushy i'm just quite anxious that i something.. well bad will happen. Thats all. Panicky moment but its gone down a bit to 54c. Still hot for not playing a game though.

Also i turned it off, disconnected the GPU and cleaned all the dust off all the fans but still nothing, at least its gone down. Thanks dave.

Fixed, turns out before the full reboot i used rivatuner to boost the fan from 59% to 100%. Thanks for letting me vent my stress out though, eased the pain :P

Uh, 59C isn't bad at all. Hell, even a lot of overclockers run 55-60C on their CPUs, much less their GPUs, which get way hotter.
