Default Netgear router

I have set up a wireless router in the hope of connecting to the Internet with it, however, it is not working. My computer can connect to the wireless router alright, but it won't connect to the Internet. Any ideas?

At the moment I'm having to connect via a modem, so only one person can use the Internet at the time...which kind of defeats the object of broadband?

Thank you.
Discovery

Default Netgear router

The key to setting up a wireless router is first connecting to it via a cable.

Plug the router in and connect to it via network cable.

Log-in to the box and setup the Internet settings first, when you can browse the Internet then worry about setting up the wireless part.

You must have got instructions with the router? At what stage do you get lost?

Dave.

Default Netgear router

Thanks Dave.

I have now managed to connect wirelessly!

I had problems with the Wizard because it didn't go all the way through. But then I tried to do it manually, had a few problems, and then fixed it!

Thanks for your help. :)
