Hi,
I have recently built a new pc please see spec below. I am trying to install xp professional, the cd boots ok & gets me to the partion stage I create a partion NTFS of 20GB for OS. It then begins to copy files on to hardrive it then gets to around 60% (it varies) & says the following dll could not be copied I try pressing enter to retry or escape to skip it then comes up with a different dll file not copied if I continue doing this it eventually comes up with the blue screen of death IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ! I have tried using 3 different cd drives as I read on another forum that it could not like my new cd drive - but they all have the same problem so I don't think it is this. I have tried re-seating all cables/connectors & reseating RAM. Can somebody please help me, I have installed windows once on my old pc & it was fairly straight forward. Its driving me crazy had a nice new pc for three weeks now & I cant use it !!!! I have now tried memtest which runs till 45% then says unexpected interrupt cpu halted ???
