Hi, I'm putting a new computer together. I'm having an issue though when I try and boot it up. I power it on and it will turn on, then turn off. It'll then turn itself back on/off and keep doing this.
Any ideas on what this could be?
Thanks in advanced

your power supply is inadequate. it can't handle the load you're putting on it. you need to get a new one. a more powerful one.

try to go for a corsair 550 watt, or maybe an enermax liberty 620 watt. that will no doubt power what you have.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have an 850watt PSU in the machine so I don't think that's the problem..
The mobo has a 24Pin main outlet on it. The PSU comes with a 20Pin, however there is a 4Pin cord I can plug in to make it a 24Pin..
I should have this plugged in, right?

i do believe so yes.

in all fairness to me, you didn't say what kind of PSU you have let alone the wattage...but at least i was right about it being a power problem. :)
