Very nice site that OCUK thanks for tip :) i was going to use Novatech , but still time to browse yet . If it is a HD4890 next thought has to be ,which one His are doing ones, they are geared up to be cooler? not going to touch like a novatech one or OCUK versions hehe, think either Asus to match the dadyboard or the normal Sapphire one .

You have E8500 too :) i might just opt for E8400 if i have enough pennies left over hehe and keep the Quad for photoshop and music software in stuff on backup comp

What are the two free games ? couldnt see that deal on the site

Aargh, i have been reading more benchmarks and this is a quote from end of the benchmark test

Even when taking overclocking into account, we don't feel the HD 4890 is worth the price premium over the Radeon HD 4870. For now we feel the Radeon HD 4870 ($185) and GeForce GTX 260 ($180) are far better value alternatives, while the GeForce GTX 275 is the best graphics card $250 can get you.

So now i be better going with HD4870? They even said be better with GTX260 or splash out a little more for the GTX275?

Also said that the HD4890 is very noisy while under load

Now i dont know what to fecking get yet again

LMAO what a bias review
The 4890 beats the 275 in most tests and when OCed there is no contest
It even beats it in nVidia optimised Crysis

Got a link to that review site?

I thougth it was a bit out there too , but still a major review GTX275 beats it in every test so they say

http://www.techspot.com/review/164-r...eforce-gtx275/

Am still thinking of getting it anyways , cos its going to be better than the HD4850 no matter what

heres another quote from bottom of the last page hehe

quote
Meanwhile, the old GeForce GTX 260 was able to rub shoulders with the new Radeon HD 4890 in a number of tests.

LOL ! a blue pcb ati board ? i havnt seen one of those yet, always red , sapphire is blue?

Think al try out the 4890 and hope that is well good i heard that Arma 2 is loving the ATI cards, didnt love my HD4850 anyways

E8400 would be just perfect rather than spending out on E8500 only 13mhz difference anyways , Q6600 is a nice cpu ,i have running atm but i thought about changing to the new tech ones 8000 series with the 45nm process or now E8400 looking a good idea , the E8400 maybe be bit better than Q6600 for gaming

So if i was to go with E8400 make sure its E0 stepping?
Yeah, E0 stepping does something that makes it better, cant remember what but it does. Like a supercharger, nobody know what it does but you go fast with one haha

Its just a newer revision, C0 is old, E0 is newest and yields better temps and OC's

Yep B3 can only hit about 3.5Ghz while the G0 can hit 4Ghz+ if you got good enough cooling

Edit:Wow multi quote fairly makes a mess!
