"No signal" on monitor. Please help

If there was a short the PSU would not turn on, or should not turn in.

I would get a PSU from anywhere, even a cheap crap one, then try that in the place of the other.

Do you have any old graphics card you can test with?

Have you definitely attached the power cable (big fat one) to the graphics card?

I have a GPU that's probably 8 years old. Is that too old?

And, I have attached both 6-pin PCI-e power cords.

I had this problem before...i didnt have a power cable plugged in....make sure you go back through and ensure every cable that needs to be plugged in is....
