| Hi there, wonder if someone can help as i'm stumped! A friends PC's USB ports no longer work - i think the ports have suspended when he was putting in and out a MP3 Player. Difficulty is means no Keyboard or mouse working (Only USB Ports on this PC). Can't use a boot disc as his PC requests "press any key to boot from disc" so i'm stumped. Any ideas guys and girls? |

| Try and borrow a ps2 keyboard and mouse or get a usb - ps2 convertor to re-enable the ports either in the bios if it has been disabled there or in the windows device manager

| ps2 ports also dont work....hhmmm odd so you have no way of system restoring? that fixed my usb power issue

| Buy a ps2 header card, they are quite cheap http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16815124045 Just plug it into a spare pci slot and bobs your uncle, ps2 ports and a couple of extra usb ports just for good measure |

| you are in a pretty bad situation . you could try to rip all the current ones out and put new ones in...

| if it has a parallel, you can try and find a really old mouse cuz that's all there was back in the P1 days. i'll show you a photo |

| Just looking on the net I think I can get a serial to ps2 connector, although thye seem to state must be a mouse thats built for such, a "combination" mouse?!  |
