I get something like 2000, how come it is so low?

That is quite low, how many other processes did you have running in the background?
Try turning them off and running it again:)

All I had going was my Kaspersky internet security. I turned it off and ran it again, made no difference.

I am using a Nvidia 7200GS and intel dual core.

Your graphics card is low end that is the reason, 3dmark is very intense on your graphics card
