So you can shut down and boot up via the power button and the shut down option in windows? But if you switch it off by the wall and switch it on again it boots into windows without having to press the power button?

ok, so when i am desktop i can shut down properly and then switch on like normal. But when i unplug the computer, then plug it back in, there is no need to put the ON button, it just starts itself. My other computer , once plugged in, they are still off, until i press the ON button, if that makes any sense

Yeah, sounds like the power switch or the PSU.. Leaning towards the switch though.. try removing the power switch and plugging it in then. If it starts up then I'm stumped lol.
