Hiya. Not sure if Im asking this in the right forums, but here goes.

Last night, I tried to install a new Graphics card in my P4 3.2ghz, 1gb Ram.
The card wouldnt go in, so gave up and tried to reinstall the old card.

It went in ok, but when I rebooted on the first screen, it stated I only had 758 mb Memory...??
SO i unplugged everything, reseated the RAM and rebooted and then I suddenly had one long beep that lasted for about 5 seconds, stops and beeps for 5 seconds again.
i have searched on google and it says it a Memory Failure.
But they seemed ok until I started messing around with this other graphics card.

I have taken the sticks of memory out one by one(have 2 512mb) and placed them in different slots, each on seperately, and still nothing.??

What have I done to it??
Thankyou in advance for any help you can give me...

I think you may have blown a RAM module.. Try running the computer on 1 stick of RAM, if you get the beep again then try running on the other stick. That will determine if one of your RAM modules has failed.

In response to your graphics card, you have probably made a simple mistake if you aren't into computers a fair bit. You have most likely bought a PCI-E graphics card and looking at your system (Which is identical to mine) I would say you are on a motherboard with only an AGP graphics port. Try looking online for a picture of what a PCI-E slot and AGP slot look like so you can pick the right one!
