Hi, I recently built a Media Center with a Mini-ITX motherboard and when I turn it on sometimes it will crash and restart, sometimes when playing music it will get the blue screen and sometimes when I try to play music it will just jump and the music speeds up or slows down.
Can anyone please tell me why this might be happening because I built the media center so I can listen to music but it can only just get itself turned on never mind play music.
These are the specs for the computer:
Jetway J7F5M-DVI Motherboard
Corsair 1GB 553MHz RAM
Samsung Spinpoint F1 (750GB) Hard Drive
PNY GeForce 6200 256MB PCI Graphics Card
Blu-Ray Reader Drive
Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit

Please help me
Thanks
Ben

Ok so it pretty much has to be hardware, assuming the CPU is not overheating (check it under load) I would try another better brand motherboard, Jetway are budget end.

Well the CPU is one of those built into the motherboard things, and it is 2GHz with a tiny little fan, 1inch maybe 2inch, so ill try to see what the CPU temp is running at LOL, if I dont get Blue Screened LOL

Ah, I see, it's a pre-assembled unit. Ignore that then. Just get it swapped, thats the only way to be sure it's ok and then move onto other bits if necessary.

I wouldn't say never, it may not be faulty. Some parts have been known to be faulty brand new and as it is a complete new build something must be bad. Motherboards are one of the more unreliable parts, so that's one of the first things to swap. Go for a better brand while your doing it too, just to be safe, you do get what you pay for.
