Hi to all....

A few months back I started a thread, with problems with pc freezing. Heres the link

http://www.thecomputerforums.co.uk/f...problem-11167/

As it reads in my previous thread, this freezing as been going on since March last year since I built it, and ive tried everything possible to sort it out untill now.

The other day I went in to my cmos setup program. My bios Is a Phoenix Award and enabled a setting called USB RESUME FROM S3/S4. Now I dont know if this is pure coincidence, but 2 days on it has not froze once.

The reason I enabled this setting is because I run my mouse through the usb interface, and I read up that the usb resume setting is something to do with standby and hibernation eventhough my problem doesnt relate to standby because in could freeze any time on the day. Perhaps this is all just a coinsidence, but I would like you guys to give me your opinion... Thankyou for taking the time to read this. Regards Dave...

Just as I was trying to reply to your post It crashed again.. after 2days of no crashes. That rules out the usb resume option

Yes all fans are all free from dust, I try and keep up with its as much as possible using canned air at least once a week

I think its time the damn thing got booted outa the back door.

A friend of mine has the same problem. But thats because his motherboard is a piece of crap.
I'm not saying your hardware is crap
Did the crashes start from day one.

If it started from day 1 and everything was new. It might be the motherboard. Im not saying this will work but you could update your bios and see if that makes any difference.
here the link if you wanna look into that

Thanks for your reply, I updated the bios to the latest version as soon as the problem arised, I thought too that it may need a bios update because the motherboard was not shipped with latest bios, but still no luck... I sometimes think they must be a glitch with the motherboard, but seen as it runs sweet as a nut apart from the odd freeze its got me wondering whether its is the board or not.... Ive run outa ideas

Please Help me.. lol
