hi there last night my pc was taking ages to shut down on vista so i just held power button in then tonight switched it on and heres what happens:
powers up
beeps once
black screen with graphics details then manufacturas logo and thats it cannot acsess bios.
so i have done the following:
atx reset
bios reset
reseated memory and prossesor and graphics
disconnected hard drive
disconnected all hardware
removed memory (beeped continuasly)
all restarting after change and still the same any ideas?

Try this,
Restart your your computer then before windows loading come press F8 this will bring up advanced start up screen there select last known good configuration mode this might work.
If this doesn't work then restart your PC in safe mode then restore your system and you are done.

thanks but as i had said origanally it wont do nothing just post beep then sits on manu screen ive tapped every button nothing works

thanks for the help love but like i said to begin with i can not get past first screen regardless if i boot from hard drive or from disk it just wont shift i thing me mobo has gone as i have tried all other things

I really hope that's not the problem b/c that is sounding exactly what's happening to me and I don't have the money to fix it. Mine starts up makes a beeping noise the asks me to hit delete to open bios, on the mobo screen. But when i try that it won't respond. If you figure anything out please let me know b/c I need my computer back. thanks.

A few thoughts come to mind ........ are you sure you're hitting the correct key to enter bios ? ..... and have you tried a PS/2 keyboard ?

na i dont know about yours love but mine is deffo the motherboard but what else can i say its a ECS motherboard im suprised its lasted as long as it has mine does not even say anything about bios settings or any thing its like its froze to the manufacturs screen so ive now gotta buy a new motherboard
(ps hun if ya read all the things i have done with mine on my origanal post it may help you to eliminate the issue or email me with what you have already tried and i will suggest if there is any thing else you can try)
