Hi thanks for taking the time to read this problem I have with my computer
First of all I will tell you whats inside
O/S- Dual boot windows XP & Vista ultimate
M/B- Biostar Tforce 550 v1.2 socket AM2
CPU- Athlon Amd 64 3800+ 2.4ghz
RAM- Corsair 2x512 5400 C4
VGA- Ati 512MB Connect 3D X1550
PSU- CoolerMaster 600w Extreme
H/S/F- CoolerMaster Hyper TX
HDD- Seagate barracuda 160gb Sata
Optical Drive- Lite-on sata Dvd-Rw
Case- CoolerMaster Cavalier 3 with front and rear fan

I built this system back in march this year, my first time build. The problem I’m having is it locksup ever now and again, the mouse will just freeze and I get no response from the keyboard ctrl-alt-delete doesn’t do anything either, the only option is to restart. This may happen as much as 5 times a day but like yesterday it only did it the once. It doesn’t matter if Im on the net or just using wordpad it can lockup at anytime. I get no onscreen error message, no BSOD and no error within the event viewer. I have done everything possible to trouble shoot the problem, updated every driver available on both o/s, bios update chipset updates etc. I have unplugged everything that I don’t need to successfully boot the system up and it will still freeze at some point in the day. I thought it maybe a heat related issue, but the fans are free from dust and the bios indicates at idle cpu temp 27-29c
North bridge temp idle 28c. I bought a Akasa multi function card reader and temp probes and that also indicates temps at around 27-34c max when playing FarCry. I have run memTest for 8 hours which came back successful as well as seatools for the harddrive diagnostics and that reports healthy. The pc has not been overclocked it runs at 2.4ghz. I have tried everything I possibly know and the damn thing still locksup when it wants.

So I thought I would share this problem, in the hope you tech guys could shine a light...
Any help would be very much appreciated Thank you.
