| What? Wattage doesn't matter. A crappy Dell PSU replaced with a solid 450W Corsair or 380W Earthwatts is a huge upgrade.

| No, it matters a great deal, depending on the configuration of your computer. Most power supplies that are unbranded like that are junk and die just like your old one. In addition, many OEM PSUs are different sizes than normal ones. Anyone know what HP has been using for the last few years?

| For my old HP computer they used DELTA ELECTRONICS, INC Model: DPS-200PB-139 A And when I took apart my computer, theres literally piles of dust everywhere, especially the fan and power supply |

| Likely what happened is that the PSU died of overheating from that dust, then. My suggestion here is to check some thrift stores in your area for power supplies (they're pretty common believe it or not) with similar dimensions. I've had a lot of luck finding ones that aren't the same dimensions but can fit 2/4 of the screw holes. The alternative is buying a whole new one and hoping it fits or buying an exact replacement, which will set you back quite a bit. If you can't find one from there, the PSU you have in there is 3 3/8 x 5 7/8 x4", and the standard MicroATX spec is 5 x 3 x 4", so you might have luck using a regular MicroATX power supply new. This one seems to fit a 511n (so that's a good sign for your newer model) and is worth a shot for under $30.
