PCI x16 motherboards and 2.0 gfx cards I've been reading that even the new GT and 512MB GTS doesn't use the full bandwidth of old PCI-E 1.0.
So there is no point in getting 2.0 yet and yes a x16 board will be fine with 2.0 cards.
