Hi all
I have latly beeen upgrading my pc and now I have come to a problem where the pc freezes on some applications e.g. games. I think this might be a hardware error but I want to be certian:

Current pc setup:
NF-M2SV Motherboard,
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+,
2GB of DDR2 800Mhz OCZ RAM Platium Edtion,
Nvidia Geforce 8500GT,
Trust 5.1 Surround Sound soundcard,
500GB SATA-II HDD,
300W PSU.

Has the freezing happened as soon as you upgraded the HDD?
Sounds like overheating, use speedfan and check your temperatures aren't abnormally high.

ok speedfan temptures are as follows:
GPU: 58C
Temp1: 17C
Temp 2: 34C
Temp3: 25C
HD0: 29C
Temp1: 40C
Core: 9C
Core: 58C
ambient: 0C

Is that idle or under load? the GPU and CPU temps look a little high for idle

Idle is the state of the PC not performing any tasks.

that was like about 2 min after i exited nfs underground 2,

I should also note that I only use to run 1.5Gb of DDR2 Ram,
and a single core CPU

i berived that it has yes
but applications dont seem to freeze on other peoples profiles
yet again i the only one who plays on games etc

I take it that when the new HDD was installed was when the frezzing problem began,

Is the new HDD the primary disk, does it have the Operating System on it?

If not try unplugging it and playing games etc.
