Well if you selected it yourself well done.
Future gaming?
Well it can be upgraded to quad core,4GB ram and pretty much whatever graphics card you want though a new PSU might be in order for that.
So yes I suppose but the phrase "Future Proof" is a lie.
I can make my own rig struggle with some of todays games if I max everything out.

Grab that and a 9600GT and you're good to go. Though you could probably build a better system (better processor and memory esp.) for cheaper.

Just adding to the posts here but, like everyone else has said, 180 pounds is not going to get you a system you would like.

My advice is to save up ( 300-400 ) come back here and get yourself a mighty fine rig. It will be alot worth it.

Short answer is yes.

The faster your cpu/ram/expansion card(s) can communicate the 'faster' your pc will run.

I notice you don't relate a screen resolution when quoting your gaming build.

This is by far the most important thing to think about when spec'ing a gaming computer/build. A system that games at 1280x1024 (17-19" screen) with AA/AF and details sliders set to 'high' with no problems may not be able to game above that resolution (1680x1050 - 20-22" screen/1920x1200 - 24-27" screen).

And let's face it, why compromise on your gaming enjoyment when (generally speaking now) when there's build spec's out there that can pretty much allow AA/AF and high detail settings on any resolution on just about any game.

So, before giving you any advice, what's your screen resolution?

Nice to see you spec'ing from PCSpecialist; good company.
