Problems with lcd monitor

    appologies if i have posted in the wrong place (if i have can someone point me in the direction) when i turn the monitor on in just flashes will not come on, is the monitor dead or is there a reasonably cheap repair i can do myself. thanks for reading.

    What does your base unit do when you power it on? Lights, noises?

    hi thanks for the reply, my base unit works fine as i have attached another monitor to it, i also tried the faulty monitor with my son's base unit and it does exactly the same thing just has a flicker every few seconds or so but will start up.

    It is a faulty monitor then, but the chances are, there won't be anything you can do to repair it, monitors aren't simple things to fix, and are not designed for people to try. Also, it would cost more to get someone to fix it than to buy a new monitor probably.

    +1 If the machine works fine with another monitor then it is a monitor fault and it is probably cheaper to replace it than repair it these days, monitors are pretty cheap bought from an etailer like www.ebuyer.com
