Default Psu for the i7 system.

Hi I am going to build a new computer and have a question with a psu..

CPU: i7 920
Cooler: V8 cooler master
Mobo: Gigabyte x58 UP4P
HDD: WD Black caviar 640GB x 1
ODD: LG 22x SATA
VGA: Sapphire HD 4770 512mb
RAM: OCZ GOLD DDR3-1600 3x2GB
CASE: CM Storm scout

and the question is ....
I am going to use OCZ 550w Fatal1ty series to match the color with
the case's LED color.( with out that I would go with the corsair's psu)

will the psu going to be enough to run those ??
I am not going to OC that much .. 3.00~3.20 ghz ..

If this is a gaming system that setup is exceptionally poor. You should put less money into LEDs and fancy HSFs and more into the GPU.

Regardless, of OCZ's PSUs that one is fine. I would still recommend the Corsair though.

Yoour graphics card will let the system down.

Surely if you're going for an i7 build this early on comparaitvely, you want an HD drive too?

Not sure on the PSU, Carbon will answer that best.
My guess would be he'll tell you to "get a Corsair 520HX or 550TX, but it's your choice, if you want it to blow up that's fine." - Just a guess though

EDIT:
Sorry, we posted at same time

You know, it kind of makes me wonder. It's kind of odd that there's still a mentality toward getting the most expensive CPU possible. By now, shouldn't the GPU, being aggressively marketed, be more "glamorous" than a boring old CPU? I mean beyond the "games don't run on the CPU" thing, into just buying on impulse, wouldn't you want to throw more money at the GPU? Maybe it's because there's so much more, where the i7 is instantly recognizable as new.

And anyone reading this, don't take my other post as meaning OCZ's PSUs are okay. They're not. That one, though, is decent quality. In this case I'd buy a 520HX, but despite the LED and "F4T4L1TY XXXXXTREME GAEMIN PSU" branding, it's actually a good enough unit.
