first let me start out with i know nothing really about computers..now to the question
i have dual monitors hooked up and both are running just one just shows my back round and nothing else and idk what to do or how to make them work...cause the reason i want them for is to play counter strike source on one and have my chats on the other so i don't have to minimize or anything like that..i also have vista if that matters...so can anyone help me?

the other monitor only shows your background because it is an extention of your other monitor. you can put your chat on the other monitor by dragging it from your first monitor into the second one. then put counterstrike in windowed mode (if it has one) so you dont have to minimise to type something into the chat applictaion.
