Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm looking at replacing my front USB ports/receptacles/sockets on my desktop (header connection), (dual stacked, type A), but so far I'm having very little luck at finding the right part.

The problem is i have no experience in soldering, so need ones which can plug straight into the motherboard - like my current ones. ie the individual pins just push into position. (i was told these were called press-it) The only place where i seem to be able to get these from are new or old cases.

I've attached a picture similar to the type I'm after. My computer doesn't have a gap big enough to fit 2 USB's side by side, for example, which is what most of the header ones i have seen are. The gap is just big enough to slot a dual stacked receptacle.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to look?

Why not just skip the soldering and buy a USB hub? If the wires get to you, get it to run over Bluetooth or something (they have those, right?)

Seems a bit silly to do all this work for a couple USB ports when you can get hubs relatively cheaply.

Well i wouldn't need to do the soldering if i can find exactly the same part as my computer has (see the attached pictures) My previous part didn't need soldering or a circuit board - its annoying that i can't find this part anywhere! I thought it was standard - obviously i was wrong!

I can get the 2 ports cheap enough, but without the wires to plug into the board. I'd just rather replace the internal ports than have an external one. Plus i like the excitement of fiddling around instead the computer (but soldering is something i will not try!)
