Default Shuting down when doing restart.

When my computer was running very slow last week i did a restart and it just shut down, when restarting it only got as far as the windows page and shut down again, this happened 3 or 4 times. Yesterday when it was running slow again and freezing i tried a system restore to the day before and it shut down again, i had to restart it myself. The computer was great after on both occasions. My anti-virus and anti spy-ware are all up to date and run every morning. The computer is 2 yrs old and is not very often switched off. Help please?

Default Shuting down when doing restart.

Open the case and clean all the fans, it's probably overheating.

Default Shuting down when doing restart.

Use a small 1/2 inch paint brush.

The CPU fan is the important one to clean.

Hi The Hybrid,

I have taken the back off and cleaned the fans with a paint brush and hoovered the bottom to get the last of the dust, my computer seems to be working fine now other than the noise of it working, it seems very loud,(whining) is this normal?.
